Eleven years on from 2001

In 2006 I wrote "Till death us do part" Clare had passed away a few  weeks after christmas 2000. I had cooked us christmas lunch and she had said to me as we sat there. "I think this will be the last christmas that I will see", of course I didn't want to believe that but somehow she knew. It is now eleven years I have been on my own, people still wish me a happy christmas but for me it isn't. Clare was the best thing that ever happened to me in my life.

The Flymo Saga !!! Conclusion

On Tuesday 7th Aug, after five long months of dealing with Husqvarna customer services, we finally got our mower back from the repairers. The deal had been that Husqvarna, out of the goodness of their heart, would supply a replacement motor, free of charge, after the original one on the new machine had burnt out after eight hours use and was one week out of gaurantee, provided that it was fitted at their nominated repairers in Felixstowe, they didn't want to know telling me that they were fed up dealing with Husqvarna. They then nominated another repairer in Ipswich, who also got no satisfaction dealing with that company. Now how could it possibly take five months to accomplish such a simple operation? Speaking to the store where the machine was purchased, they said they had more trouble with Flymo machines than any other make, this was also the case at another store in Lowestoft where a relation of mine works.
I have aired my feelings to the Husqvarna Company but of course they will put the letter in the bin, never the less it made me feel better.
My advice to anyone contemplating buying any garden equipment, DON'T buy Flymo
